For our customer commodity trading company based in Istanbul, Turkey. We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join dynamic as a vital member of their finance team, you will play a key role in executing and overseeing controlling to ensure the financial stability and efficiency of their operations.
Financial Control and Process Management:
- Designing a robust financial control system to align with contractual terms.
- Monitoring and ensuring the profitability of transactions during the approval stage.
- Establishing and managing the Company's payment processes to prevent delays and overdue payments.
- Calculating, coordinating, and overseeing credit limits to facilitate sales, along with implementing a credit control system.
- Providing financial expertise and addressing issues raised by the Company's top management.
Reporting System:
- Developing and enhancing the Company's financial and management reporting system.
- Implementing processes for timely and high-quality preparation of monthly and quarterly reports.
- Creating a liquidity forecast considering currency and geographical factors for the upcoming months.
- Defining principles for managing liquidity and maintaining company account balances.
- Formulating the company's operational budget, conducting plan-fact analysis of costs, and analyzing cost dynamics.
Budgeting and Cost Management:
- Planning and monitoring operating and administrative costs.
- Identifying opportunities to optimize the Company's costs, developing optimization measures, and ensuring their implementation.
- Optionally, collaborating with cross-functional teams in preparing the Company's annual business plan.
Business Support:
- Providing financial expertise in cross-functional projects and assisting in solving issues requiring specialized financial knowledge.
- Assisting businesses in structuring transactions to minimize risks and financial costs.
- Verifying calculations of the economic efficiency of the Company's projects.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial controlling services.
- Bachelors or master's degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering.
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Fluency in Turkish, Russian and English is essential.
- Experience in a multicultural working environment is a definite plus.
- High attention to detail, analytical thinking, and accuracy in financial transactions.
- Collaborative team player with a friendly and open demeanour.
- Completion of military service for male candidates.
