We are seeking a strategic, business-oriented HR Director to lead our local operations in Lower Austria. In this high-visibility role, you will bridge local excellence with global corporate scale, driving organizational transformation and modernizing our HR architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic HR Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive team, aligning local HR strategies with global business objectives. Lead and upskill a high-performing local HR team (Recruitment, Payroll, Admin, and Training).
- Industrial Relations & Compliance: Serve as the primary negotiator with the Works Council (Betriebsrat), ensuring constructive social dialogue and absolute alignment with Austrian labor law and collective bargaining agreements (Kollektivvertrag).
- Talent & Culture Transformation: Drive executive talent acquisition in a competitive market, enhance employer branding, and lead change management initiatives to merge traditional manufacturing culture with tech/R&D environments.
- Compensation & Talent Management: Oversee local payroll, design competitive executive C&B packages, and implement robust performance and succession planning frameworks.
Position Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 3-5+ years in a senior leadership role (HR Manager/Director) within international manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, or engineering sectors.
- Industrial Relations: Proven, hands-on mastery in negotiating with Austrian Works Councils (Betriebsrat) and managing DACH-region labor frameworks.
- Matrix & Culture: Strong ability to navigate complex, multinational matrix organizations. Experience collaborating with Asian parent groups is a significant plus.
- Languages: Native/Bilingual German (essential for legal and union negotiations) + Fluent English (for global corporate reporting).
- Education: University degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
