Head of Business Development - Nordic

As part of Ecolab Healthcare growth strategy, a new position as Head of Business Development for the Nordics has been created.

The role as the new Head of Business Development for Nordic markets will be a key position reporting directly to VP North/West Europe Ecolab Healthcare. It will be an excellent opportunity to join a market leading business working in the infection prevention and surgical healthcare space and you will be part of a strong team of 4.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic blueprints for accelerating growth across Nordic countries: working with the North/West Europe sales team look for strategic business partners, inorganic growth opportunities and new channels to market in the healthcare and adjacent professional space
  • Lead/develop European initiatives specific for Nordic markets: work with the European inhouse marketing teams to tailor new programs and build successful launch campaigns
  • Provide business arguments and innovative go-to-market plans for value/outcome-based solutions
  • Promote existing digital tools and new initiatives
  • Target CXO/Executive level public health discussions, opening doors for solution wide Ecolab sales. Play a key account management for these large customers, grow and win big. Work with Ecolab leaders to forge relationships with governments
  • Profitable portfolio: understand cost of sales and field performance to drive the best return for the business. Make recommendations for portfolio shifts especially into digital space. Lead new product introduction
  • Represent product standards/properties/efficacy claims: work with marketing and regulatory leaders to ensure Nordic countries have the right products in the right segments
  • Planning & strategic reviews: along with other regional leaders play a lead-role in building, driving and presenting business reviews at a regional level
  • Foster collaboration and teamwork across the organization
  • Leadership team member; provide insight, engagement and best practices

    Required Experience/Qualifications

    • 5-years’ experience in a healthcare environment in either a medical device/infection prevention/surgical/Information Tech or healthcare supplies market
    • Previous experience in either a Business development and/or marketing leadership
    • Proven track record in growing businesses including NPI and new market introduction, building partnerships
    • Proven track record working with C-suite/executives, selling solutions
    • P&L experience/understanding
    • Degree level educated

    Ideal Experience/Qualifications:

    • Microbiology experience
    • Brand management experience
    • Previous experience working with Governments/public health bodies
    • Experience working in a matrix organisation, winning & influencing; working cross function and organisation
