Head of Global Sales (premium medical commodities)

Our client is a very successful European manufacturer of premium medical commodities. With strong heritage and production facilities in the CEE region and a rapidly expanding global footprint, the company operates a dual business model: successfully selling its own brand while serving as a trusted OEM and Private Label partner for major international healthcare players. To elevate their international market presence, ISG is retaining a high-caliber commercial leader based in Berlin. We are seeking a strategic architect who will drive revenue through both distributor networks and large-scale OEM partnerships.
As the Head of Global Sales, you will report directly to the Board and define the international route-to-market strategy. Based in the German HQ in Berlin, you will act as the global ambassador, balancing the growth of the company’s brand with high-volume manufacturing contracts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy that integrates direct/indirect distribution channels and OEM business development
  • Evaluate and optimize the performance of existing international distributors
  • Identify and onboard new strategic partners to ensure maximum market penetration for the company’s own brand
  • Identify and negotiate complex OEM / Private Label contracts with global healthcare corporations and purchasing organizations
  • You will translate production capabilities into profitable B2B partnerships
  • Represent the company globally. This involves frequent international travel to visit key partners and active participation in major medical trade fairs (e.g., Medica, Arab Health) to network and close deals
  • Bridge the gap between the CEE manufacturing headquarters and global markets, ensuring alignment between product development, capacity planning, and market demand

Your Profile:

We are looking for a top sales talent from the healthcare sector—a professional who combines strategic vision with the energy to travel and close deals
  • University degree in Business, Economics, or a related commercial field
  • Deep experience in Medical Devices or Medical Commodities is required - you understand the hospital procurement landscape and regulatory environment
  • Proven track record in managing indirect sales channels (distributors) globally
  • Experience with OEM / Private Label sales (B2B contract manufacturing) is a distinct advantage
  • English: Business fluent (C1/C2) and German: Business fluent (C1(C2) are required, additional knowledge of Spanish or Arabic or Russian is a major advantage
  • A pro-active "hunter" mindset with executive polish - you are culturally adaptable, willing to travel extensively, and possess excellent negotiation skills
