The Internal Control Manager reports directly to the General Manager. This role is responsible to ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures, to drive definition and implementation of standards and business specific guidelines in financial and non-financial operations. He / She ensures compliance with corporate, country, and international standards, regulations, and guidelines as well as supports internal and external audits, provides assurance for the area of responsibility. Responsibilities
Specific to Project Controller Position
- Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly project reviews
- Responsible for controlling and monitoring processes on contracts, their conditions and approval processes related to purchasing, in accordance corporate standards
- Understanding & monitoring of all the project costs, coordinating with all the related parties
- Following up and ensuring project budget maintenance, current estimate update, reviewing risk and opportunities to provide insight and analysis to support operational decision-making
- Driving appropriate cost structure, productivity optimization, and capital efficiency. Managing and closely monitoring the cost variances and root causes, cash flow and acting to improve Net Working Capital
- Ensuring the project team in adherence to corporate governance, integrity, assurance, internal control
Related to Internal Control Manager Position
- Assessing and providing assurance to the senior management of the Firm over the risk & control environment
- Maintaining regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, accuracy of information, and asset security by creating standards to harmonize methods and practices and implementing specific documentation for each procedure and control
- Comprehensive reviewing of all business processes (such as Purchasing, Production, Sales, Finance, Warehouse Management, Human Resources )defining and formalizing procedures and controls to be implemented, performing tests and audits
- Enhancing operational efficiency by performing organizational reviews and proposing process improvements
- Creating a control matrix within the scope of full compliance of all processes with Company policies, procedures, and regulations
- Promoting internal control best practices and supporting various departments to meet their objectives
- Liaising with partners to quickly identify new issues, discuss and propose consistent controls, and partner in the decision-making process
Qualifications / Profile
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business administration, finance, industrial /civil engineering, or other engineering disciplines from a reputable university, post graduate degree, MBA is an asset,
- Min. 10+ years of relevant working experience in Internal Control/ Internal Audit / Cost Control/ Project Control in an industrial company, preferably in packaging, textile, printing industries,
- Project Controller experience in construction or manufacturing company, preferably in an international company and/or experience in Big four audit/consultancy companies is a plus,
- Professional Internal Audit Qualification – CIA, CISA, COSO,CRMA,CPA and / or Professional Project Management Qualification – PMI, Prince2 and relevant certifications is an asset,
- Robust working knowledge of Turkish GAAP and IFRS accounting, group consolidation, financial planning, budgeting, reporting, cost accounting, cost, and variance analysis
- Excellent proficiency in audit procedures and methodologies. Comprehensive understanding of, internal control, financial documentation, business process analysis and enterprise risk assessment,
- Professional proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- ERP systems and data management knowledge and experience, ideally MS Project, Smartsheet, Dinamo
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking , sound conflict resolution and interpersonal skills to develop solutions to complex and diverse business problems.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation skills and ability to maintain a constructive dialogue with stakeholders at all levels.

- Effective planning, project, and time management skills
- Residing at İstanbul- European side and/ or willing to relocate to the Kırklareli - Tekirdağ region (Çorlu , Lüleburgaz)
