Marketing and Business Developer - Istanbul

We are currently seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Marketing and Business Developer for our client, an international leading petrochemical company, with a strong presence in overseas offices across the entire EMEA region. This opportunity arises from the rapid expansion of their positions in Turkey.

Our client is an international premier petrochemical company, specializing in the production of PP, HDPE, PVC, LLDPE, and LDPE. With a significant presence in packaging, construction, and consumer products markets, they are at the forefront of the industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of market prerequisites for petrochemical products, including an understanding of the balance of Turkey and the global market, and the formulation of a pricing model through various tools.
  • Analyse the competitive environment and ecosystem.
  • Conduct pricing analysis, identify influencing factors and patterns, and forecast prices using different approaches.
  • Formulate negotiating positions, including formula bidding.
  • Identify new business/segment development opportunities.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years or more of experience in the petrochemical or plastic product/tire manufacturing or plastic recycling industries in roles such as Business Development, Industry Sales, or Product Manager.
  • Fundamental understanding of marketing principles, including pricing, segmentation, positioning, and product portfolio management.
  • In-depth product knowledge in the specified areas.
  • Fluent Turkish speaker with good verbal and written English skills for effective communication on work-related topics.
  • Understanding of how the product value chain works.
  • Proficient in Excel, with a willingness to work with large amounts of data.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work under tight deadlines.
