Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based platforms to support operational technology (OT) systems.
  • Develop scalable architectures for integrating OT data streams with cloud services, ensuring reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with OT engineers to identify requirements and design solutions that enhance operational efficiency and agility.
  • Implement security best practices to safeguard sensitive industrial data in transit and at rest within cloud environments.
  • Optimize OT cloud services for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability, utilizing automation and monitoring tools.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients on OT cloud architectures and implementation strategies.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in cloud computing, IoT, and industrial automation to drive continuous innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience architecting and implementing cloud solutions for industrial applications, preferably in manufacturing, energy, or utilities sectors.
  • Deep understanding of operational technology (OT) systems, including SCADA, PLCs, MES, and industrial protocols.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with hands-on experience deploying and managing cloud services.
  • Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or C++ for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices for securing OT environments in the cloud.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
