Our client is an international network for veterinary clinics, currently operating across 11 countries. It supports clinics by securing more favorable purchasing conditions, providing access to key suppliers, and offering shared services that foster growth and competitiveness. Its mission is to strengthen independent veterinarians by connecting them with the right partners and solutions, making their daily work easier while preparing them for the future.

The company is seeking a highly entrepreneurial and commercially driven Partner Manager to lead its market entry in Portugal. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish a local presence from the ground up, backed by the expertise and resources of a well-established international organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization´s establishment in Portugal, working independently with support from the Spanish team
  • Develop and execute a local go-to-market strategy
  • Drive sales and revenue by actively signing up veterinary clinics as members
  • Ensure consistent pipeline development and conversion of new practices into long-term members
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with veterinary clinic owners and decision-makers
  • Leverage existing connections to wholesalers and suppliers in the veterinary sector
  • Follow up on negotiated contracts and increase sales of our suppliers
  • Act as the local representative, fostering trust and credibility in the Portuguese market
  • Collaborate closely with the Country Manager Spain and international team

Profile & Requirements:

  • Commercial living in Lisbon area, willing to travel through Portugal
  • Proven experience in the veterinary industry in Portugal (must know the local clinic, wholesaler, and supplier landscape)
  • Established network and strong relationships with veterinary clinics
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: hands-on, independent, and excited about building a business from scratch
  • Strong sales and business development track record
  • Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Fluency in Portuguese and strong English and/or Spanish skills
