The Payroll Specialist, being responsible for all activities relating to processing payroll that they are performed accurately and timely; will report to the Payroll Manager. This role requires working closely with Accounting, Finance, HR, Compliance departments and other internal support groups.

The ideal candidate will have the acumen to handle complex situations and multiple responsibilities; balancing long term projects in urgency of daily operations. He or she must always have the proven ability to deal with confidential information and behaves with the highest level of integrity.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures all end to end payroll process is accurate and timely
  • Ensures accurate and timely accounting, recordkeeping and management of payroll related data; performs audits and reconciliations of payroll information.
  • Responds to provide information necessary for compliance, internal audit and corporate financial controls.
  • Organizes and reviews forms associated with government authorities, carries out the corresponds with the 3. parties (such as SSI)
  • Responds to employee inquiries regarding payroll.
  • Manages mobility process with global mobility team and helps foreigners for all process.
  • Monitors absentee and overtime tracking
  • Recommends process improvements to enhance efficiency and supports the implementation of payroll-related initiatives and projects.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting, finance or business preferred
  • 3- 5 years payroll experience required with in-depth knowledge of payroll; applicable wage ,labor and tax laws, benefits administration, and compliance regulations surrounding payroll. Understanding of how payroll drives accounting/general ledger transactions
  • Experience working with payroll vendors and payroll applications , equity compensation plans, expatriate payroll processing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English & Turkish
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level of customer service; interpersonal skills including tact, diplomacy, and professionalism as well as ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical ability, good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Able to effectively function both independently and as a member of a team and be comfortable working cross-functionally across the organization
