We are seeking a skilled QA & Test Automation Engineer to join a newly formed team responsible for the core network platform. In this role, you will be the guardian of quality, ensuring that the software and systems bridging satellite and terrestrial networks are reliable, scalable, and bug-free. You will have the unique opportunity to define the testing strategy and automation frameworks in a newly formed team.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Strategy & Design: Design and execute comprehensive test plans (functional, integration, and regression) for core telecommunications software.
- Automation Development: Build and maintain automated testing frameworks from scratch to support a high-velocity deployment environment.
- CI/CD Integration: Collaborate with DevOps to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that every code change meets quality gates before production.
- Bug Lifecycle Management: Identify, document, and track software defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Vendor & System Validation: Coordinate with third-party software vendors to validate upgrades and patches, ensuring they meet the company's performance and security standards.
- Performance & Load Testing: Analyze system behavior under stress to ensure the network can handle global traffic demands.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in QA and test automation roles.
- Language: Fluent in English.
- Industry Background: Previous experience in the Telecommunications sector is required.
- Coding Skills: Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Java, or Bash) for test automation.
- Tech Stack Knowledge: Familiarity with modern testing tools (Selenium, PyTest, etc.), API testing (Postman), and version control (Git).
- Cloud Awareness: Understanding of cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) from a testing perspective.
Soft Skills
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and operational efficiency.
- Ownership: A self-directed "founding" mentality—comfortable creating processes where none exist.
- Communication: English proficiency (B2+) for effective collaboration within a globally distributed team.
