ISG Greece on behalf of its client, a leading multinational organization in the Services sector, is seeking for a talented and driven professional to undertake the position of Senior Accountant Team Leader
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of accounting professionals providing guidance, support while ensuring optimum performance
- Participate in the preparation and review of the statutory financial statements under Greek GAAP and IFRS
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and prepare the tax planning and filing activities (VAT, WHT, VIES, Income Tax return, My Data etc.)
- Act as the main liaison with external auditors and advisors for accounting and tax matters. Communicate with tax authorities and banking organisations
- Perform diverse and non-routine accounting tasks
- Handle accounting / finance projects, ensure successful implementation within defined deadlines
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, actively contribute to the optimization of accounting systems, and processes. Implement best practices
Requirements
- Eight (8) to ten (10) years of professional experience, out of which three (3) years in a similar role with team responsibility
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential. A Master’s degree or professional certification (ACCA etc.) is an asset
- Experience in project management / implementation (e.g. My Data, Digitalization projects) will be highly regarded
- Knowledge of Tax and Accounting legislation
- Experience with SAP & ERP systems (Entersoft), proficient user of Excel
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and multitask effectively. Proactive attitude
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Greek & English)
- Adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced environment
