We are looking for a
Senior FPGA Team Lead to join an innovative, international, and technology-driven company operating at the forefront of the telecommunications and space industry.
This is a key technical leadership position for an experienced FPGA engineer who wants to remain hands-on while leading architecture, technical decisions, and the development of advanced FPGA-based systems.
You will work closely with highly skilled teams across RF, hardware, software, DSP, and systems engineering, contributing to complex, high-performance technologies from architecture through validation and deployment.
What You'll Do
- Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex FPGA-based systems.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to FPGA engineers.
- Drive system-level technical decisions in collaboration with RF, hardware, software, and systems teams.
- Design and implement advanced DSP algorithms and high-speed digital data paths.
- Work with high-speed interfaces, including SERDES and transceivers, and contribute to clocking architecture decisions.
- Lead the FPGA development lifecycle from architecture and implementation through lab bring-up, validation, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Troubleshoot complex hardware/FPGA issues and drive solutions in a highly collaborative engineering environment.
What We're Looking For
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Several years of hands-on experience in FPGA design and development.
- Strong expertise in Digital Signal Processing (DSP).
- Professional experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.
- Strong understanding of SERDES, high-speed transceivers, clocking architectures, and high-speed digital links.
- Experience with FPGA bring-up, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.
- Strong technical leadership and mentoring skills.
- Fluent English.
