Our client is seeking a Snowflake Data Engineer to support a large-scale cloud data migration, transforming legacy platforms into a modern, scalable architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines using Snowflake and integration tools.
- Lead migration from legacy systems (e.g., Teradata) to Snowflake, ensuring data quality and performance.
- Develop and manage Snowflake objects (tables, views, procedures).
- Optimize performance (clustering, partitioning, query tuning).
- Leverage Snowflake features (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Time Travel).
- Ensure data security, governance, and access control.
- Automate data ingestion and transformation workflows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
Requirements
- Strong Snowflake experience in data engineering environments.
- Advanced SQL across platforms (Teradata, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
- Proven experience in data migration and pipeline optimization.
- Knowledge of Snowflake ecosystem (external stages, RBAC, storage integration).
- Scripting skills (Python/Shell) and familiarity with CI/CD practices.
- Experience with tools like dbt, Fivetran, or Databricks is a plus.
- Fluency in English required.
