Senior Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain operations, ensuring efficient procurement processes, strong supplier performance, and reliable on-time delivery within a high-tech manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage purchase orders, support payment approvals, and negotiate pricing to ensure smooth procurement execution under general supervision.
  • Prepare Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and bid packages to support sourcing of new categories.
  • Monitor supplier contracts to ensure compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to schedule, expedite, or resolve delivery issues, including shortages and delays.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
  • Track and maintain purchase order status, ensuring delivery dates and shipment information are accurately updated in NetSuite.
  • Perform end-to-end PO tracking, identify risks, and lead mitigation actions related to supplier performance, including delays, quality issues, or logistics disruptions.
  • Generate and analyze procurement and supply chain performance reports.
  • Support planning activities by reviewing supplier lead times, communicating demand requirements, and driving improvements in delivery performance.
  • Identify supply risks, develop mitigation plans, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Sourcing Manager on cost analysis and new supplier onboarding.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
  • Coordinate with Logistics and Materials teams regarding inventory movements and shipments.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain function.
  • Define, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs).

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Purchasing roles, with strong hands-on purchasing responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with suppliers in Spain and the broader European manufacturing sector, especially in structures, composites, plastics, and metalworking.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, sorting, and filtering.
  • Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
  • Professional Spanish proficiency required.

  • Valid authorization to work in Spain.
