The Opportunity
We are seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial Managing Partner to lead and expand our presence in the United Kingdom. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned professional to leverage their expertise and build a thriving business within the dynamic world of HR services across the UK.
As a Managing Partner, you will be responsible for driving business development, delivering high-value consulting services, and ultimately building and leading your own team of consultants as the UK market grows. We are looking for an individual with a natural aptitude for connecting with people, understanding business needs, and identifying talent.
What We’re Looking For
While direct experience in HR consulting or headhunting isn't a prerequisite, our most successful Managing Partners are often former executives, directors, or senior leaders who possess a keen understanding of the business landscape and a natural ability for:
- Business Development: A strong drive to identify and cultivate new client relationships, understand their challenges, and propose tailored solutions across various industries.
- Strategic Thinking: The ability to understand complex business needs and translate them into actionable HR and talent strategies.
- Relationship Building: A natural flair for networking and building trust with senior stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: An analytical mindset to diagnose client issues and develop effective solutions.
- Leadership Potential: The desire to build and mentor a team as your practice expands.
Ideal candidates will likely have a background in a specific sector (e.g., Technology, Manufacturing, Financial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Public Sector, etc.) and a proven track record in roles such as:
- Managing Director/General Manager
- Director of Operations/Commercial Director
- Senior Sales/Business Development Leader
- Head of Department/Division
- Experienced Consultant (from any field)
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy for the UK, identifying target clients and market opportunities.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with senior executives and HR leaders across various industries.
- Understanding client needs and proposing tailored solutions in areas such as executive search, HR consulting, talent development, and interim management.
- Leading and delivering consulting engagements, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction.
- Representing ISG at industry events and networking functions across the UK.
- As the business grows, recruiting, mentoring, and leading a team of consultants.
- Managing your own P&L for your UK operations.
