Architect - Egypt

We are currently seeking an experienced Architect for a one-year contract to support the construction of a luxury residence for one of our largest steel producer clients in Egypt. This position involves working abroad and requires a strong command of English, a dedication to luxury standards, and a deep knowledge of luxury finishing materials. Reports To: Construction Manager

Job Summary: The Architec is the client's specialist for all building finishes and architectural elements, with an uncompromising focus on luxury standards. You will be responsible for the daily inspection and quality assurance of the contractor's work, including marble/stone installation, custom joinery, high-end flooring, facade work, plastering, painting, and installation of premium doors and windows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review all architectural drawings, finish schedules, and specifications for luxury materials.
  • Inspect workmanship and materials for all finishing trades to ensure they meet flawless quality standards.
  • Verify that architectural installations align perfectly with MEP services and structural elements.
  • Approve mock-ups and samples before the contractor proceeds with mass installation, setting the benchmark for quality.
  • Monitor the rigorous protection of finished works to prevent any damage.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for any finishing work that is even slightly below the required luxury standard.
  • Maintain a detailed log of architectural works progress and report to the Construction Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Diploma in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or equivalent technical certification.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience as an architecture with a clear focus on luxury villas, high-end apartments, or 5-star hotels.
  • An exceptional eye for detail and a zero-tolerance attitude towards defects.
  • Strong knowledge of luxury finishing materials (natural stone, exotic woods, etc.) and their application techniques.
  • Fleunt English skills.
