Our client, an established leader in the defense and telecommunications sector, is seeking a talented SATCOM Engineer to play a key role in their satellite communications projects. Join a multidisciplinary team working at the forefront of secure communications and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support satellite communications systems, ensuring optimal reliability and performance.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of SATCOM solutions: from requirements analysis and system modeling to integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Conduct link budget analysis, frequency planning, and optimization for satellite ground and user terminals.
  • Develop technical documentation, support RFI/RFP responses, and contribute to regulatory compliance efforts.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional engineering teams (hardware, software, network) to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to RF, modulation, protocols, and network interfaces in SATCOM environments.
  • Keep current with industry standards such as DVB-S2X, 3GPP NTN, CCSDS, and participate in design reviews and assessments.
  • Provide technical guidance to operational teams and support training activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Aerospace, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in satellite communications engineering or similar environments (defense, telecom, space sector).
  • Strong background in RF systems, antennas, modulation, and communications protocols.
  • Experience in link budget analysis, system integration, and troubleshooting SATCOM systems.
  • Working knowledge of programming tools (Python, MATLAB, or C/C++) is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and security standards for defense telecommunications is valued.
  • Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English required; Spanish highly desirable.
  • Eligibility to work in Spain and within the defense/critical infrastructure sector.
