For our client, a leading player in the agri-food and industrial processing sector we are looking for a Customs Expert to join the Supply Chain team. The role ensures compliant and efficient customs operations for both imports and exports, supporting seamless commercial flows and adherence to national and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Validate product information and review transport/commercial documentation.
- Perform TARIC tariff classification and calculate applicable duties and VAT.
- Prepare and submit customs declarations in electronic systems (AES-RO, SNI, e-Customs).
- Communicate with customs authorities during inspections and monitor declaration status.
- Maintain internal customs records and ensure traceability, particularly under EIDR authorization.
- Prepare supplementary declarations, ensure correct application of fiscal facilities, and support audits.
- Provide internal advisory to procurement, logistics, and finance teams on customs requirements.
- Monitor legislative developments and contribute to internal training and compliance initiatives.
Requirements
- University degree in International Trade, Logistics, Economics, Commercial Law or related fields.
- Relevant certification or specialized customs training.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in customs operations (import/export, special regimes).
- Strong knowledge of customs legislation and experience with customs systems (AES-RO, SNI, RCDPS).
- Intermediate–advanced English skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
