They are looking for a Telco Software Stack Architect to define, own, and evolve the software architecture for their telecom stack and core components. You will provide technical leadership by setting the architectural vision while working closely with engineering teams to guide design and delivery of a global cellular broadband network in space.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the software architecture for the telecom stack and core components
- Design interface contracts, protocol specifications, and API standards
- Establish engineering standards, including coding practices and testing strategies
- Mentor and develop engineers in 3GPP protocols and cloud-native design
- Translate technology strategy into actionable architecture and design decisions
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align the development roadmap and system requirements
- Communicate architectural decisions and tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Drive alignment across engineering, product, and partner MNO networks
Requirements
- 5+ years in software engineering or architecture, specifically in telecom
- Expertise in 3GPP standards and architecture
- Solid understanding of 5G core network architecture (AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF)
- Experience with cloud-native design patterns for high-performance telecom software
- Proficiency in programming (C/C++, Go, or Python) and scripting
- Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized workloads
- Strong communication skills in international environments (English B2+)
