The Role
In this position, you will be the backbone of the HR department's transactional and operational core. You will manage the entire lifecycle of employee administration and ensure a flawless, timely monthly payroll process in compliance with Austrian labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Management: End-to-end preparation, execution, and verification of the monthly payroll for a diverse workforce, collaborating closely with external partners/authorities.
- HR Administration: Master data maintenance, contract management, onboarding/offboarding documentation, and handling time-attendance systems.
- Labor Law & Compliance: Act as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers regarding Austrian labor law, collective agreements (Kollektivvertrag), tax, and social security questions.
- Reporting & Audits: Prepare regular HR metrics, personnel cost reports, and support year-end closing audits.
Your Profile
- Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in HR administration and payroll within Austria, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Education: Finished commercial education (HAK, HLW, or University degree) and a certified Austrian payroll qualification (Personalverrechnerprüfung).
- Knowledge: Solid understanding of Austrian labor law and collective bargaining agreements.
- Languages: Fluent in German (essential for official authorities and legal framework) and good command of English (working language of the international team).
- Tools: Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and experience with standard HR/Payroll software (e.g., DPW, SAP, or similar).
