Our client is a continuously growing and internationally expanding European pharma company with a broad portfolio of Rx products, primarily pharmaceuticals, including proprietary developments, dietary supplements, and OTC products across various therapeutic areas such as ophthalmology, neurology, and intensive care medicine. After the suc-cessful registration of products in Spain the company will now start its activities on the Spanish market with an experienced, dynamic, highly motivated entrepreneurial Pharma Sales & Marketing Manager Spain (f/m/d) in Barcelona
Responsibility for building up and managing the Spanish market, with a focus on sales and marketing, including P&L and administrative responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- P&L responsibility for the Spanish market
- Establishment and management of the representative office and sales team, starting with the recruitment of three Sales Representatives, and planned further expansion to up to a team with 15-20 employees corresponding to the market potential and business development.
- Planning and implementation of all marketing and sales strategies and activities of the company, in line with the underlying corporate strategies, particularly including new launches; establishment of the ophthalmology portfolio in Spain as well as subsequent expansion into further areas and indications, including price setting and reimburse-ment
- Operational sales, marketing, key account, and KOL management activities for the Spanish market; planning, coor-dination and participation in relevant national congresses and events, including workshops, trade fairs and similar formats
- Cooperation with and support from the headquarters, including the Finance, SCM, QM, RA, and International Mar-keting departments
- Establishment and maintenance of the B2B network with relevant wholesalers, retailers, pharmacies, and pharma-cy chains, purchasing groups, as well as institutions and authorities
- Dynamic development of revenue and target market shares for the Group in Spain, based on the significant market potential with special product USPs in the relevant segments
- Budget planning, ongoing controlling and reporting, including market and competitor monitoring
- Successful implementation of launches and achievement of the revenue target which will be agreed with the new manager
- Direct reporting line to the responsible Territory Manager of the Group
Requirements:
- Relevant university degree in a scientific field; alternatively, a business degree with a strong scientific affinity, or qualification as a medical device consultant and/or pharmaceutical representative with correspondingly longer and relevant professional experience
- Minimum 5+ years of industry-specific experience as a Sales Manager or in a comparable role, with demonstrable sales success in the pharmaceutical industry is a must prerequisite; SME and/or entrepreneurial experience de-sired; experience in market development is an advantage
- Marketing and leadership experience is a must prerequisite as well
- Good commercial understanding
- Highly active, dynamic, intrinsically motivated, entrepreneurial, and hands-on sales personality
- Cooperative and motivating leadership style with strong target, implementation, and results orientation
- Strong interest in and motivation for the role and the opportunity to make a significant contribution to the Group’s dynamic growth by assuming market and P&L responsibility with a strong sales orientation and by dynamically building up the business in Spain
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel within Spain, at least 50%
- Fluent Spanish and English skills
- Excellent MS Office skills
