About the Role
You will play a key role in improving automation frameworks, integrating testing into development workflows, and ensuring software quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for backend services, APIs, and user interfaces.
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks to support high-quality software delivery.
- Integrate automated testing into modern CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with software engineers, QA specialists, and product teams to define testing strategies.
- Perform manual validation when required and convert repeatable test scenarios into automated test suites.
- Investigate, debug, and resolve issues affecting automated test execution.
- Continuously improve test coverage, execution performance, and framework reliability.
- Promote software quality best practices across engineering teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to a quality-first engineering culture.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor engineers on automation best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- At least 7 years of experience in software test automation.
Required Skills
- Strong experience automating backend, API, and UI testing.
- Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages:
- Experience with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or similar.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience mentoring or coaching engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Linux administration or development experience.
- Familiarity with distributed systems or cloud-native applications.
Technical Environment
Experience with several of the following technologies is desirable:
Java • Python • C# • Selenium • Cypress • Cucumber • REST API Testing • Postman • CI/CD • Docker • Kubernetes • Linux
