MENA Technical Manager

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Technical Manager for MENA region to provide high-level technical support across the region, improve flock and product performance, and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.

Working closely with Commercial, Product, Veterinary, Nutrition and Incubation teams, the role will combine poultry production expertise, data-driven analysis and customer engagement to deliver measurable technical and business results.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Customer Technical Support & Performance

• Manage regular technical visits, customer reviews, troubleshooting and follow-up across key accounts.
• Develop and monitor Customer and Product Improvement Plans, translating flock data into practical performance actions.
• Analyse Grandparent(GP), Parent Stock (PS) and Broiler performance, including first-week mortality, chick shipments, trials and new product performance.
• Provide data-driven recommendations on flock management, hatchery, veterinary, nutrition and incubation.
• Support customer complaints and technical issues in close coordination with Commercial and specialist teams.

2. Data, Reporting & Performance Insights

• Ensure accurate and timely recording of customer activities, technical visits and follow-up actions in CRM and Aviagen systems.
• Monitor performance trends, competitor data, technical risks and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare clear technical reports and actionable insights for regional management.
• Maintain high standards of data accuracy, traceability and reporting discipline.

3. Cross-Functional, Quality & Biosecurity

• Coordinate specialist support across Veterinary, Nutrition and Incubation disciplines.
• Partner with Commercial, Regional and Product Managers to align technical recommendations with customer and business priorities.
• Maintain strict compliance with Aviagen biosecurity, quality and operational standards.
• Support PS/GP deliveries, quality assurance and corrective actions where required.

4. Industry & Technical Leadership

• Represent Aviagen at relevant poultry industry, technical and commercial forums.
• Share current technical guidelines, product knowledge and best practices with customers and internal teams.
• Contribute to regional technical and cross-functional meetings.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of poultry technologies, production practices and industry trends.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Agricultural Engineering, Animal Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a poultry technical, production or customer-facing role.
• Strong practical knowledge of Grandparent, Parent Stock and Broiler operations.
• Knowledge of Veterinary, Incubation and Nutrition disciplines is a strong advantage.
• Strong capability in flock performance analysis, technical problem-solving and customer advisory.
• Commercially aware, customer-focused and comfortable working in a regional matrix organization.
• Experience with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365, and strong MS Office skills.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, solution-oriented, and influencing skills.
• Fluent English is required; knowledge of Arabic and French will be a plus.
• Willingness to travel approximately 70% across the MENA region.

Location

• Flexible for the right candidate in Türkiye, Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan or the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
