In this pivotal leadership role, you will act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor to the Managing Director and Executive Team.
You will be responsible for transforming overarching business goals into actionable HR strategies that seamlessly align with global frameworks.
This position offers complete oversight of organizational development, workforce planning, labor relations, talent management, and total rewards, with a heavy emphasis on driving operational continuity, compliance, and sustainable cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Business Partnership: Develop local HR strategies aligned with business goals; advise senior leadership on organizational changes, structural risks, and data-driven workforce analytics.
- Workforce Planning & Cost Optimization: Lead strategic headcount planning, annual budgeting, restructuring initiatives, and cost-saving actions alongside Finance and Operations.
- Employee & Labor Relations: Maintain constructive relationships with trade unions and employee representatives; lead collective bargaining negotiations and mitigate employment law risks.
- Talent & Organization Development: Drive succession planning, performance management cycles, executive coaching, and learning initiatives to foster a high-performance culture.
- Recruitment & Employer Branding: Oversee talent acquisition for critical positions and enhance external market visibility through university partnerships and early-career programs.
- HR Operations & Leadership: Ensure compliance across payroll, personnel administration, and data analytics while leading and mentoring the local HR team.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of broad HR experience, including significant HR leadership and strategic business partnering roles.
- Workforce Expertise: Proven track record managing both blue-collar and white-collar populations, ideally within unionized or complex labor environments.
- Change Management: Solid experience managing organizational transformation, restructuring, and sensitive employee-relations matters.
- Legal & Financial Literacy: Sound knowledge of applicable employment legislation, HR compliance frameworks, and personnel cost management.
