ISG is supporting a confidential recruitment process for an established organisation currently investing in the renewal of its technology landscape.
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager who understands the realities of complex IT environments and can guide infrastructure and cloud initiatives from initial definition through to successful delivery. This opportunity will appeal to someone who combines sound technical judgement with structured project governance, commercial awareness and an ability to bring different stakeholders together.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of technology projects covering Microsoft platforms, cloud services, corporate connectivity and operational resilience.
Working closely with internal specialists, business representatives and external partners, you will translate organisational requirements into clear delivery plans, establish priorities and ensure that progress, dependencies, expenditure and risks remain visible throughout each project.
Your remit may include:
- Supporting the expansion and optimisation of Microsoft Azure services.
- Coordinating infrastructure upgrades, migrations and technology refresh programmes.
- Overseeing Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID-related initiatives.
- Managing improvements to corporate networks and secure connectivity across multiple locations.
- Contributing to backup, recovery and business resilience projects.
- Selecting, coordinating and monitoring technology and telecommunications partners.
- Producing clear project information for technical and senior management audiences.
- Ensuring that security, service continuity and operational requirements are considered from the outset.
What we are looking for
You are likely to have:
- At least five years’ experience leading projects involving IT infrastructure, enterprise systems or cloud technologies.
- Good working knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem, including Azure infrastructure, virtual machines, networking, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Experience with multi-site network environments involving LAN, WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, firewalls or telecommunications services.
- A successful track record of coordinating technical teams and third-party service providers.
- The ability to manage schedules, budgets, risks, dependencies and delivery commitments.
- Familiarity with recognised project management frameworks and governance practices.
- Confidence communicating with engineers, suppliers, business stakeholders and senior decision-makers.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above.
Additional strengths
Any of the following would be advantageous:
- Microsoft Azure certifications, such as AZ-104 or AZ-305.
- PMP, PRINCE2, ITIL or comparable qualifications.
- Exposure to cybersecurity, hybrid infrastructure, automation or DevOps practices.
- Experience in operationally demanding, multi-site environments such as transport, distribution, retail or industrial services.
Working arrangements
The position is based in Villaverde, in southern Madrid, with four days per week on-site and one remote working day.
A permanent contract and salary aligned with the successful candidate’s experience and level of expertise are offered.
