Junior Solutions Architect | Cloud & Integration

ISG is recruiting a Junior Solutions Architect to help shape how business applications connect, operate and evolve. You will work alongside experienced architects and colleagues across engineering and operations, gradually building your confidence in solution design.

The work you will contribute to

You will help turn business needs into practical technical options, considering how applications exchange information, how services are organised and how solutions can accommodate future growth.

Your contribution will extend from discussing design choices to producing clear diagrams and technical guidance that teams can use. You will also support the transition of existing applications towards cloud environments and more modular designs, helping colleagues establish consistent engineering practices along the way.

The foundation you will bring

You do not need to have held an architect title. We are looking for at least three years of relevant technical experience, together with:

  • A solid understanding of Microsoft Azure and Oracle Database.
  • Confidence explaining how microservices, REST APIs and Kubernetes fit into an application landscape.
  • Familiarity with integration platforms, whether through MuleSoft or comparable middleware.
  • An understanding of Agile delivery and how to collaborate across technical disciplines.
  • The ability to explore a business requirement, weigh technical options and explain your reasoning clearly.

Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, messaging technologies or architecture modelling tools would strengthen your application.

We also value curiosity, thoughtful questions and a willingness to learn from others. You should feel comfortable discussing technical detail with engineers and making that same information accessible to colleagues in business roles.

Room to develop

The position offers a development path towards senior architecture responsibilities, supported by ongoing training and opportunities to pursue technology certifications. You will gain exposure to application modernisation and cloud initiatives while learning alongside more experienced colleagues.

This is a permanent position based in Madrid, with four office days and one remote working day each week. Salary will reflect your relevant experience and technical capabilities.
