Our client is an international technology company is developing a
global cellular broadband network in space, designed to connect directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices and help eliminate connectivity gaps worldwide.
The company is looking for a
Telco SRE Engineer to join its Telco Software Development team in
Riga. This is a hands-on engineering role within a greenfield environment, focused on building innovative software and infrastructure components for next-generation connectivity.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement GitOps-driven infrastructure on Kubernetes using ArgoCD
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation
- Build and optimize automated, auditable CI/CD and GitOps pipelines
- Manage containerized workloads supporting LTE/5G Core and RAN services
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK and similar tools
- Automate operational processes and reduce manual work through declarative configuration
- Develop clean, tested and production-ready infrastructure and software
- Translate technical specifications and requirements into reliable solutions
- Create infrastructure documentation, runbooks and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate closely with network and software engineering teams
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in DevOps/SRE
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and containerization
- Hands-on experience with GitOps and ArgoCD
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP, ideally AWS/EKS
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and/or CloudFormation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, such as GitLab CI or Azure Pipelines
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals
- Experience with Python, Bash and/or Go
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- English B2 or above
Experience with LTE/5G, RAN, 5G Core, OSS/BSS, NFV, SDN or telecommunications infrastructure will be considered a strong plus.
