Data Analytics & Reporting Specialist

Our client, Aviagen® is a global poultry breeding company with a comprehensive portfolio of breeding stock marketed under well-known brand names. We are now looking for an experienced Data Analytics & Reporting Specialist to support Aviagen's TMEA operations by transforming technical, commercial, trial and market data into accurate, secure and decision-ready business information.

Based in South Africa and working as part of the TMEA team managed from Türkiye, the successful candidate will be responsible for the full data lifecycle, from collection and validation through analysis, visualization and reporting, helping technical, commercial and management teams make informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, consolidate, clean and validate technical, commercial, trial and market data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality and data integrity.
• Analyse data to identify trends, variances, patterns and benchmarks, translating findings into clear and actionable business insights.
• Prepare recurring and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, analytical models, charts and presentations using primarily Advanced Excel, Excel Macros/VBA and SQL, supported by relevant BI and visualization tools.
• Support regional trials through structured data collection, monitoring, analysis and reporting, contributing to product performance assessment, customer support, benchmarking and business planning.
• Collaborate with Technical, Commercial, Finance, Planning, Marketing, IT and Global Data teams across the TMEA region to provide reliable analytical support.
• Identify opportunities to automate, standardize and streamline data collection, analysis and reporting processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering or another related analytical disciplines.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data management or a similar analytical role.
• Strong practical knowledge of Advanced Excel, including Macros/VBA, and SQL.
• Experience with Power BI, Qlik Sense, JMP or similar analytics and visualization tools will be a plus.
• Previous experience in the poultry industry is preferred. Experience in related sectors such as animal feed, animal health, vaccines, livestock or agriculture will also be considered an advantage.
• Fluent written and spoken English; an additional regional language would be advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across the TMEA region is required.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and a disciplined approach to data quality, with the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and proactively validate data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders across countries and functions.
• Proactive and adaptable mindset, with a strong willingness to learn, improve processes, adopt new analytical tools and handle confidential information responsibly.
