Diplomatic residence in Vienna is looking for a dedicated and personable Sous Chef/Second Cook, who takes pride in offering the highest of standards and with a passion for food and food creativity. Under the direction of the Head Chef, the Sous Chef/Second Cook will be responsible for all duties connected with the kitchen operation, including menu planning, shopping, cleanliness, cooking for the principal officer, family, and house guests, and for various official events (such as luncheons, formal dinner parties and receptions). The duties also include helping with the table service for small occasions.
The workweek is 43 hours (86 hours on a two-week rotating work schedule). Employment will be under the Austrian Law for Household Employees with a salary above minimum of EURO 2,930. - (monthly gross, 15 times per year). May be negotiated based on prior experience.
