Chef/House Manager (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

High level diplomatic residence in Vienna is looking for a confident, experienced Chef/House Manager, who takes pride in offering the highest standards of service. As a dedicated and passionate Chef/House Manager, the candidate will be responsible for managing the entire kitchen, including menu planning, shopping, and cooking for the family and house guests, and for various official events (such as luncheons, formal dinner parties and receptions). The duties also include replenishing the wine stock periodically. On the house management side, the candidate will be responsible for checking the house regularly and organizing routine maintenance and repairs and answering the Residence telephone.

Qualifications and competencies required:

• Completed internationally recognized formal training courses in hospitality industry
• Proven experience working as chef and with kitchen operation
• Good command of English and German
• Be approachable, trustworthy, organized with a can-do attitude

Salary and Work Schedule:

The workweek is 40 hours. Employment will be under the Austrian Law for Household Employees with salary exceeding the wage tariffs for household employees and negotiable based on prior experience.
