Carl Norris, B.A.

Biography

Carl is a native of Detroit Michigan. He attended Detroit Public Schools until his sophomore year when he received the Horizon Upward Bound scholarship to Cranbrook Schools in Bloomfield Hills, MI. He graduated from Cranbrook and went on to graduate from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga. with a dual degree in Accounting and Finance. In 1982 Carl did “A Venture in Management” at Harvard University Business School in Cambridge, Ma.

Carl spent the next fifteen years honing his skills in Accounting and Finance with notable organizations. He held various key positions during those developmental years: Corporate Accountant, Commercial Loan Officer, External Auditor, Controller, and CFO. In 1996 he ventured into the world of Staffing with one of the premier staffing organizations in the world, providing top-level Accounting and Finance resources.

In December of 1998 Carl founded the Global Consulting team. As the Managing Partner he was responsible for managing the contractual and direct placement divisions, where he specialized in accounting, finance, tax, audit and administrative professionals. In 2005 Carl developed the Human Services/Education division where they provide Human Service and Education professionals to non-profit agencies and School districts at a discounted rate. The discounted rate program was Carl’s brainchild because he wanted to create a program that would allow non-profit organizations access to a professional search team.
