Stephen Lavergne began his career in healthcare recruitment, placing nurses, therapists, and doctors before transitioning into the fast-paced world of IT recruitment with Affiliated Computer Services (ACS, now Conduent) in 2005. With a natural talent for identifying high-potential talent and building high-performance teams, Stephen quickly advanced into senior talent acquisition leadership roles, supporting hyper-growth companies across multiple industries.
Over the years, Stephen has led global recruiting functions for venture-backed startups and Fortune 500 companies alike, including Metromile, Fivetran, Amplitude, Cloudera, and Glu Mobile. He has consistently helped companies scale efficiently by designing talent acquisition strategies, managing international teams, and implementing scalable recruiting operations. His expertise includes hiring across North America, Europe, India, Asia, and Australia, with a deep understanding of local market nuances and international compliance.
Stephen has also played a key role in optimizing recruiting technology and operations by implementing applicant tracking systems like Lever, Greenhouse, Taleo, and ICIMS. He’s known for building strong, metrics-driven programs aligned with business objectives while fostering collaborative, inclusive hiring cultures.
With a deep passion for recruitment and an eye for operational excellence, Stephen is now focused on partnering with mission-driven organizations where he can continue to build high-impact talent functions, coach rising leaders, and contribute to long-term company success.
