Biography
After studying commercial sciences at the Vienna University of Economics and Business, specialising in human resources, Helga Mayer worked for a year in the 5* hotel industry in Spain before returning to Vienna to join the telecommunications industry. There she was a member of the Management Board until the company was sold. She then spent more than two decades in the property industry, working for a non-profit housing developer, where she was responsible for sales, marketing and PR from the beginning of her career and soon took on various management positions, developed new business areas in residential construction and, in addition to the commercial agenda, was always responsible for personnel recruitment and development.
Helga Mayer is a real estate trustee (estate agent, administrator and property developer), has passed the master craftsman’s examination for monument, façade and building cleaning and completed the Governance Excellence programme for supervisory board members at the WU Executive Academy. She was a lecturer for the preparatory examination for property developers and has been involved in various committees of the Austrian Association of Non-profit Building Associations. In addition to English, she speaks French and Spanish.
Helga Mayer has always attached great importance to teamwork, personnel development and open and trusting cooperation. She therefore decided to move to ISG in 2024 in order to dedicate herself exclusively to connecting the right people for optimal corporate success. She looks after customers and applicants with great empathy, takes her time, provides detailed advice and always keeps an eye on the big picture. She has a large network in various industries that she has cultivated over decades.
